Matthew - 10 Days

One of my very very favourite families to photograph has just added a new member to their family! Dave and Amanda were one of the first first people to take a chance and hire me as their photographer just over a year ago. I was so nervous the very first time I photographed them and their son, Michael.
I was so happy to see them again this morning with their beautiful new son, Matthew.
Matthew is 10 days old now, and is such a handsome baby. I was excited to use some of my new props on a baby other than my own, and I even tried a few natural light shots. I really love how they turned out, and I've decided I'm going to try and incorporate more and more natural light photography to my newborn portfolio.
Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy and I truly hope I get to see you all again:)
This is cute... the last time I saw Michael was in the fall and he wanted NOTHING to do with getting his photo taken. It made me so happy that he was smiling and super cheeky for me today!

I adore this family:)

So small in daddy's hands.

Bright-eyed Matthew.

I think I've got a wee obsession for baby feet...

He's going to be a tall boy!

Mom wanted to have their wedding bands incorporated in some photos.

Our last photo of the day, and one of my favourites. I love his little feet, and both mom and dad's wedding bands. I can feel the emotion in this one.

Colby - One Year

Colby was one of the very first newborns I ever photographed.
I was super pumped to see him today and photograph his one year cake smash session.
Colby is absolutely adorable, and his great big eyes just melted my heart.
I love when I get the chance to see how much the newborns I photographed have grown. Colby did a great job during his photo session today. He was so smiley and funny!!
Here is Colby one year ago.

Such a gorgeous boy!

Seriously!! He is going to break some hearts!
He loved his balloons.
Cake!

Kris and Kristy - Maternity

It was so incredible to be able to take photos today of my cousin Kristy. She is expecting her second baby in the next month or so, and I am dying to find out if it's a boy or girl. I think daddy is hoping for a baby girl;) Either way I know this baby is going to be so loved.

I love that I was able to capture some photos of this amazing time in their lives, and I am so excited for their newborn session!
Kristy and Kris are a beautiful couple, and Kaje is seriously cute!

This pose was inspired by Tonia of Delicate Impressions. She did my maternity photos two years ago and her images amaze me.

This is a photo that Kristy requested.

Another image inspired by Tonia. I think Kristy looks stunning in this one.

I remember Kristy talking about having a photo like this done with her son before she was even pregnant with her second, lol!

Gray - 6 weeks

Our little boy is now almost 7 weeks old.
He loves to smile, especially when he first wakes up in the morning, making 5 a.m not seem so awful, lol!

Jackie and Greg ~ Married

All day I couldn't help but smile. As I looked through my camera and snapped throughout their ceremony, photos after, and during the entire reception, I was amazed again and again at how they look at each other.
Jackie and Greg have this special way of looking into each others' eyes. To watch them smile at each other you can tell that for them, the whole world stops for that moment.
Their wedding was at the Ancaster Old Mill, on February 13.
Jackie wanted a white, winter wedding. Greg, not so much. But he did it for her.
She wanted to wear the dress, Greg suggested City Hall.
Jackie wanted her Nana to be there, they both wanted their closest friends and family to see them embark on a new chapter in their lives. Their day was perfect. The band was incredible and the food was amazing.

Jackie's dress was stunning, and was embroidered with small shamrocks in honour of her Irish heritage.

During the ceremony, these two never let go of each others' hands.

LOVE LOVE LOVE how she looks at him.

It was so important to Jackie that her Nana be part of her wedding day.

I'd love to know what he whispered in her ear......

The live band and dancing was too much fun.

Here they are, Greg and Jackie, madly in love and ready to start their journey together.

Michelle & Jay ~ e-session

I have known Michelle for as long as I can remember. Her mom and my Aunt are best friends, and whenever I went to visit, Michelle was always there to play.
It has been a while since I last saw her, and I was so excited to get an email saying she was engaged!
Jay proposed on New Year's Eve, and she asked me to do an engagement session with them in the snow. I love snow, and I had a great time goofing around with these two, who were totally up for anything.
It was a gorgeous morning on Saturday and we met at Webster's Falls in Dundas. The snow was perfect, the sun was shining, and except for a near death experience on the icy stairs (which I have to thank Jay for saving me, lol) it was a great morning.

Here are just a few images from their shoot.
